Camille Avery was born in California and raised in Boise, Idaho. Camille always had an intense love for the arts and realized at an early age that music was to be her life’s passion. Growing up in a household where this passion was encouraged played a big role in her life. Camille was constantly involved in plays, choirs, musicals, piano, voice lessons, and extracurricular activities.
Camille attended the first years of Arts West School for the Performing and Visual arts for high school. During Camille’s senior year she competed and won several national awards such as The Singer-Songwriter Award, The Down Beat Jazz Award and The Lionel Hampton Award among them. Receiving a full ride to New England Conservatory of Music, Camille moved to Boston shortly after graduating high school to study Jazz Vocal Performance. After finishing her studies Camille moved to Chicago to continue making music with fellow colleagues professionally.
Returning to Boise to be with family, Camille accepted an amazing position at Hall Academy, excited to grow and teach with her fellow faculty members.
