How do I know that HIA is the right school for me?
Students must have either a history or background in a specific artistic discipline or possess creative instincts and a passion for exploring art. This does not necessarily mean that a student has a lot of experience in their art, but that they should show the willingness and passion needed to succeed in the arts program.
What is the fee for applying to HIA?
There is a $50 application fee.
What is my deadline to apply to HIA?
Enrollments are open year-round, however we recommend that students join at the quarter, or better yet, begin with us in the fall semester. Fall retreat is a valuable experience for both new and returning students and continues to be integral to the culture of our school's unique and nurturing atmosphere.
Can I apply to more than one discipline?

How should I prepare for my audition?
The executive director and two faculty from your projected major will interview you briefly on why you think HIA is a good fit for you, and in what ways you think you can contribute to HIA’s culture. We will be evaluating your art and your attitude. You will be expected to bring samples of your work (photographs, original artwork, recorded tracks, recital videos, etc.) The more variety, the better! This is your chance to showcase what you can do.
Why is HIA valuable for local students, as well as international students?
Hall International Academy offers once-in-a-lifetime benefits to our International and Exchange students. Since one of the primary goals of the school is to bring together students from all over the world to share in a unique educational experience, it stands as testament to our commitment to providing our international family with the best experience possible.
